Show Us Your Centrifuges

Over in blogland, there is a little interest in Herd Testing Centrifuges. This is the early Babcock Tester, that we hold at Stratford.

There are also centrifuges at Bega (which started this thread - they are on the bottom shelf of the Milk Can Stand in the photo), Maffra and Old Gippstown.

Anyone else got any Herd Testing Centrifuges? We've shown you ours - will you show us yours?

Cataloguing Continues

P05024VSFH

Cataloguing continues. We were recently chuffed to reach the three thousand items in the database milestone.

One of the items recently received and catalogued is a framed portrait of Charles Christie STEWART, who was killed in action in Belgium in 1917. The portrait is especially poignant to us as it came from the family of Jim STEWART, his nephew, who himself recently passed away. Jim was a councillor at the first meeting of the Society.

And the Society already hold C.C. STEWART's personal effects, returned to his family from Belgium.

A seminar for those researching soldiers of World War I, will be held at Old Gippstown on 11 September.
