Closing until 3 May
Stratford Historical Museum
will be closed until Sunday, 3 May
while we replace our roof
through a grant from
Heritage Victoria
Hopefully we will be open again in time for the Avon Village Fair on 3 May, with a brand new roof.
In the meantime, many thanks again to Building Better Regional Museums. As part of our grant to connect to the sewage system, we had to replace our old toilet. We were so impressed with the new one, the room was rapidly painted (it was previously awfully dark). One thing led to another - framed Victorian prints in storage (of low significance, don't want to risk significant items) moved in there to enhance the area.
Now everyone is invited in there to have a look! The photo below does not do it justice. This may not excite you, but it really excites us!
