VINTAGE EVENING GOWNS EXHIBITION

P04644iVSFH
Following on from last year’s successful exhibition of Wedding Gowns, Heyfield Family History Group, supported by the Heyfield & District Historical Group, will host a magnificent display, “Evening Gowns Through The Decades”.
Held at the Heyfield Memorial Hall, the exhibit will highlight the history of the gowns, revealing fascinating details about the lives of the wearers. Accessories such as gloves, shoes, stoles also contribute to telling the gown’s story
Organiser Louise Hill-Coleman said  that a special contribution to the exhibition is an 1858 gown on loan from Stratford Historical Society. “The exhibit ranges from this gown  to the 1920’s beaded “flapper” gown,  from the “flower power”  60’s to the quirky “noughties”.
The exhibition times are from Wednesday 22nd of May – Saturday 25th of May, 9am – 3pm and will end at 1pm on Sunday 26th .
Entry is $5. A delicious Devonshire tea can also be purchased in the Supper Room.
Buses welcome. Phone 51482093 for more information.
